This page provides additional plain-language disclosures about MedRecall's use of your health information, alongside the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Data Access pages.
Developer & app identity
App name
MedRecall (VezaMed)
Developer
Independent developer, contactable at support@medrecallplus.com
Platform
iOS (iPhone), distributed via the Apple App Store / TestFlight
Data use & sharing
Is data sold?
No. MedRecall never sells health information to anyone.
Is data shared with third parties?
No. There are no advertisers, analytics vendors, or data brokers with access to your records. Data leaves your device only when you choose to back it up, and only to a Google Drive or Files folder you control.
Is data used to train AI or other models?
No.
Is data de-identified or aggregated?
No โ MedRecall does not aggregate or de-identify data across users. It is a single-patient personal record app; there is no central database of user data at all.
What is data used for?
Solely to display your own health information back to you inside the app, so you can keep a personal, unified record alongside notes you've entered yourself.
Storage, retention & security
Where is data stored?
On your own iPhone. MedRecall does not operate a server or cloud database.
Optional backups
If enabled, backups are written to a Google Drive or Files (local/iCloud) folder that you select, using your own Google or Apple account credentials โ never a MedRecall-controlled account.
Retention
Data is retained on your device until you delete it within the app or uninstall MedRecall. Backup copies persist until you delete them from your chosen Drive or Files location.
Security
Health-system connections use OAuth 2.0 with PKCE over the health system's own login; MedRecall never sees or stores your portal password. iOS platform security (device encryption, sandboxing) protects locally stored data.
Your rights
Revoking access
You can disconnect any health system at any time from that provider's own patient-portal privacy settings; the authorization ends immediately on their side.
Deleting your data
Delete individual records in-app, or delete the app itself to remove everything stored on your device. Backup files can be deleted directly from your Google Drive or Files location.

Regulatory note
MedRecall is a patient-facing personal health app, not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. Your use of MedRecall to access your own records is governed by this disclosure and MedRecall's Terms of Service, not by HIPAA. Your hospital or health system remains subject to HIPAA for the records it holds, up until the point you direct them to send data to MedRecall.
